Jessie French is an experienced producer and curator with a background in public programs. She currently consults on strategy for activating public spaces and curates public art and programs, working on a range of public and private projects including the creative program for the Melbourne Metro Tunnel Project, Melbourne Knowledge Week’s Test Sites and place transition works for private developers and local councils. Before this, Jessie was deputy creative director of MPavilion, where she led the program, and worked on the project in various capacities from before its launch, to the end of its first four years.
Jessie has lectured at The University of Melbourne, RMIT University, and the Victorian College of the Arts on curatorial practice, cultural management and public programs. She is a curator of the Robin Boyd Foundation’s DADo Film Society, dedicated to screening documentaries and films on architecture, design and urbanism and curated the music program for the City of Melbourne’s Melbourne Fashion Week 2017 and the talks program for City of Melbourne’s Melbourne Music Week in 2018.
